This is a fun place to visit if you are in Juneau. Only a few blocks from the cruise ship docks, so it is very easy to walk to. This place has lots of cool decorations throughout the saloon that will keep you looking the whole time you are there. The employees are great and the food is wonderful, and very well priced. There is an entertainer who plays the keyboard, sings and tells jokes. Please remember there may be some things you do not want your kids to hear. After all, this is a saloon. Definitely worth spending some time eating, drinking and have fun.

At the end of our brief visit to Juneau we stopped at the Red Dog Saloon for some drinks and a bite to eat. It's a fun place with sawdust on the floor and raucous country music. They have a good selection of craft beers and we split an order of halibut fish and chips. We entered through the front swinging door but had to leave through the back and pass through an area selling Alaska t shirts and such.

piano player is out of this world. Absolutely hilarious. Sawdust on the floor and good food and cold beers on the table. Service was great and the show was entertaining. If you got to wait to get in it'll only be a few minutes because they are on the spot. Come on in and enjoy

Good vibe, a little more touristy than the Imperial, but the prices are better

Lots of character here. Dollar bills tacked all over the walls, sawdust on the floor, taxidermy everywhere, life rings, all sorts of other knick knacks, and a piano player up on a little stage. The waitresses were wearing costumes straight out of Westworld.I can't say I remember the food. But we finished the meal off with a duck fart shot, which tasted a lot better than it sounded.

Wow. Real western style saloon in modern day! Live music, atmosphere and drinks. Tip - close to Royal Carribean Port.

Got takeout for lunch. Nice having the option of beef or buffalo for my burger.

Absolutely amazing! If you don't know the song by Johnny Cash "Springtime in Alaska" you should check it out first. It's a must. Other than that good bartenders, cool stuff on walls and lots of really nice people from all over. Just a COOL place to stop. Check it out!!!!

$10 for just 4 sad looking chicken strips form the freezer, it was $11.99 when I went there i'm ashamed, the best thing was the tap water

Bartender was friendly, good place to have a few beers.

Rowdy place here! Maybe not the best stop for the kids, but the clam chowder with salmon in it was AMAZING! Scantily clad waitstaff and a old saloon atmosphere was loads of fun, but kinda left my 9 yr old scratching his head about it all.

Just stopped in for a few minutes during our day there w/ the cruise ship. Great atmosphere. Was packed (busy/crowded), but that only shows how good they are.BEST Bloody Mary I've ever had. By a LONG ways.

This is definitely a place I would hangout in if I lived in Juneau. The live singer was great and the saloon was packed in the afternoon. The recorded music choices were also great. I would have purchased a CD if they had one. Since I could not go into the main section during the show, I spent time in the attached mercantile, which is also like a mini museum, enjoying the music, buying fun and funny clothing and assorted saloon related items. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures inside. I did get some postcards of the place I will try to post later.

What a cool spot in Juneau! Juneau has the pioneer charm that I would expect to find when visiting a place known as the last frontier. Visiting this saloon is the cherry on top of the whipped cream if you're looking for the pioneer nostalgia like I was. There are historical memorabilia hanging on the walls, flags on the roof rafters from visitors from all over the globe and writing on the walls from hundreds of patrons throughout the years. Bear skins, taxadermy moose heads, giant halibut and mountain goats are also decorating the walls. Oh, snap! I forgot to mention, the beer is cold and local, the food is delicious, and the service was great! Kristen was our bartender and brought a warmth that was missing from Juneau in the middle of January! Awesome job!

Amazing place!.. you might visit this place!

Good little piece of history in the midst of a politically corrupt town. But at least the beer is good, the atmosphere is comfortable and warm. And on rare occasions theres good scenery.

Looking for Marshall Dillon and Miss Kitty here! Happy customers and folks here! True it is - eat, drink and be merry! Bling Blinky of TEXAS Shout Out: YEE-HAW Goodtimes!

Great atmosphere, beers and location

They have amazing chicken wings. A fun atmosphere and it is jam packed in the summer.

Have been here twice and enjoyed both visits. There is usually someone playing the piano to liven up the atmosphere. Definitely has the saloon feel. Sometimes tough to get in and grab a seat when multiple cruise ships are in town but certainly worth the wait or, go in late April before the hoards of people show up. Make sure to grab a Duck Fart shot and a craft brew + the food here is pretty tasty.

Quite an exciting place with old world charm. Had a great piano player, friendly people, and of course, in scenic Alaska. My girlfriend was really impressed by the place. Good thing Russia sold it to the US, or us Canadians would have a common border with Russia......can you even imagine that.....??

Loved it and worth the wait to get it. Share a table and meet people from all over the world! Food was delicious! Duck Fart shots are the signature drink. 1/3 Kahlua, 1/3 Baileys, and 1/3 Crown Royal (in a shot glass). They were amazing and yummy!!

If you have the chance it's worth the visit because it has enough different going on. It's a bit of feel good enjoyment.

Fabulous. Have to go. Hard to get a table but worth it. Step into Alaska history. It’s everything you thought Alaska was about..

An institution in Juneau and certainly not one to miss. Great selection of beers on tap and a selection of unusual shooters. Staff are extremely friendly giving you details of the history of the place.

Good time. Excellent nachos. Big crowd when the ship is in. Enjoyed the tour, girls stayed in character well.

Great must visit spot when visiting Juneau. It had some great history and felt very authentic. There is a gift shop attached which had some great shirts and hats to being home. I highly recommend stopping here when in town.
Tawn Streich
Great historically to see. We going to eat but tables were so tiny and packed so close together we have a drink and left. The gift shop is bigger than the saloon. To touristy for me. Ate just down the street at Deckhand Dave's. It was fantastic.
Teresa Thompson
So much FUN! And God bless the piano man, he made our visit complete.

Food is good. Atmosphere is great. When in Juneau, AK this is my bar !
Steve Wishstar
Awesome vibe. Excellent staff. Very inviting for the whole family (although we did eat early before any bar crowd). We got to write our name on the wall to commemorate our first visit and we'll see how many years we can go there to see it. Excellent food BTW.
Mark Preddy
Awesome little saloon. The sawdust floor was pretty unique, the only place I've been that has this!
Paul Wallace
Food was okay and we got to watch some MMA. Service started out slow but then the waitress just started conversing with us. Asking about UFC etc. And it was enjoyable.
Nolan Void
Great bartenders, unique vibe and a one of a kind saloon experience. Must do if you're in Juneau. Even if you just stop for a classic Duck Fart drink
Tracy Gingrich
Loved the drinks and the entertainment! I would have stayed longer but had to get back to the ship. Many Christmas presents are Red Dog Saloon souvenirs!
Susan Tuller
Lots of fun. The place was packed but they still managed to get me and my mobility scooter in quickly and without fuss. Piano player was funny.

Great food. Love the old western theme. Really characteristically place full of history and vitality.
Cliff Welch
This Saloon is so full of personality that you may even forget to order liquor while you are there. The servers are dressed in a very traditional 1880s look. Very friendly and I am sorry to say we miss their show

Stopped in at Juneau for the day and like most tourists we popped into the Red Dog Saloon to see what it’s all about. The bar has a great atmosphere and reflects its history well. The live piano music, sawdust floors and artefacts from the past are in keeping with the ‘Wild West’ theme of the Red Dog. This also includes a gun that belonged to Wyatt Earp hung behind the bar of which he supposedly lost in a game of poker. A fun place to visit to grab a beer or a bite to eat. Kick open the saloon doors and step into the past.
ErinMarie Suscheck
Delicious food. Definitely try the burgers.
Jessica Clark
Cool old Saloon! Felt just like we were in the Alaskan gold rush with all the cruise ship peeps all around! Truly a neat place! Must have a duckfart!
Paul Logan
The music and atmosphere are great. A must see!
Huey Duong
Amazing decor. Friendly staff. After stepping through saloon doors you are awed by the far northern bar feeling. Then you take your first steps and find the floor covered in a layer of saw dust.First time here and fully enjoyed the experience. Wrote our names on the wall too. Great place to chill just after porting from cruise.
Richard Foisner
Iconic saloon located in Juneau, Alaska! Really fun place to visit. Great atmosphere. My only problem with the place is that it is very busy and it might be hard to get a table. Drop in and be a part of history, and have a cold one while you're there!

This place in Juneau, Alaska is a hoot. Great atmosphere and a real must see. A piece of history captured that's a lot of fun, great food and beverages. The serving wenches all in traditional costume and the live entertainment is fabulous.
Alexander Manjasek
Give it a pass. You won't be disappointed if you do. Though some tour groups meet and drop off here.
Kathy Miller
Marcus is a wonderful bartender made our experience!! So helpful and laid back made our night just perfect 😀 the wings are the best in town and the price isn't bad either!! They have a special to buy a pitcher of beer and add wings to any pitcher for $5 bucks!! We will be back
Jeremy Morris
Really neat old place. Wyatt Earp’s gun he left was really cool. Love music was great, too.
Nancy Williams
Such a fun place primarily because of the elderly gentleman singing and playing the piano. He was very funny and interacted with the customers. Great service and good food too!
